Find new prospects with Discover

Discover finds new businesses on public sources, reads their own websites for a business address, rates how well each fits, and lets you add the good ones to prospects.

Updated October 28, 2026

Discover finds businesses that just launched, such as new Product Hunt products and new Shopify stores, reads each one's own website for a published business email address, and has AI rate how well it fits your project. Nothing is emailed: you choose which leads become prospects, and they only get email through a sequence you approved.

1. Open Discover

Go to Cold outreach → Prospects and open the Discover tab.

2. Choose sources and filters

Under Sources and filters:

  • Sources:

- Product Hunt: products launched in the last two days. - New Shopify stores: domains with a newly issued certificate that point to Shopify and show a live store. Password pages, "opening soon" pages and parked domains are skipped. - PPToGo merchants: merchants PPToGo lists publicly, read on their own store website.

  • New websites per day: how many new websites a day are read, up to 200 (30 by default).
  • Keywords (optional): only keep businesses that match, for example skincare, newsletter.
  • Product Hunt topics (optional): topic slugs from producthunt.com/topics, comma-separated. Empty means all topics.
  • Run every day: turn it on for a daily run.

Click Save. To try it straight away, click Run now (once an hour per project). New leads appear in a few minutes, and the page shows what the last run found per source.

3. How a lead is read

For each new website, EterMail:

  1. Respects the site's robots.txt and reads the homepage and up to 3 contact, about or imprint pages. For a Shopify store with no address on those pages, it also reads the store's privacy and terms pages.
  2. Keeps only business addresses on the company's own domain. Free-mail addresses (Gmail, Outlook and so on) are never kept. A shared inbox such as hello@, contact@ or support@ is preferred over a named person's address; a named person is marked Named person.
  3. Checks that the address's domain can receive mail (MX).
  4. Has AI rate the Fit from 0 to 100, with a short reason (Why), the type of business and an Opener angle. This uses a few credits per lead with an address.

Every lead keeps its source, the source link and Where it was found: the page each address was on.

4. Add leads to prospects

Filter by Source, Min. fit and Has an address, then tick the leads you want (or Select all with an address) and click Add to prospects. Leads you don't want can be dismissed.

Adding works like a prospect import: suppressed and opted-out addresses are left out, duplicates are skipped and every address is verified. Each source gets its own prospect list, and the source and the page the address was found on are saved with the prospect.

Then enroll the list in an approved sequence. See Cold outreach.

FAQ

Does Discover email anyone by itself?

No. It only finds and rates businesses. Email goes out only after you add leads to prospects and start an approved sequence.

Why do some leads have no address?

Many sites don't publish a business email address on their own pages. Those leads show No business address found and can't be added.

What does it cost?

Reading websites is free. The AI fit rating uses a few credits per lead with an address. Cold emails you send later cost credits as usual (see Credits and billing).
